Final Voyage

I am most saddened to report the final voyage of Masie Archer on July 13, 2014, a wonderful friend of our extended Perry family. While we all know that one day that voyage will be ours and also that of our loved ones, the pain is never lessened when that time comes. Hopefully, our reflection of the fond memories we shared throughout the years will help us through these most difficult times. Masie handled her illness like a true champion and never dwelled on her illness but choose to focus on the good times she shared with family and friends.

Anyone that ever met Masie can easily recall her charm. Just ask her husband Jim Archr and he will tell you she won his heart and kept it through their 64 year marriage. Masie loved her extended Perry family and was a strong supporter of our association. She never missed a reunion from the time attending our 4th reunion in Charleston, SC. and was looking forward to our 2014 reunion in Myrtle Beach, SC. Masie was extremely proud when Jim was chosen to be our Honorary Reunion Skipper at our 2013 Savannah reunion. I know Masie will be with us in spirit when we again gather at our Myrtle Beach reunion to reflect on the memories of our youth.

A bit of comfort is knowing that Masie made her journey to the Lord with faith and courage.

Condolences can be emailed to Jim Archer, Plank Owner, 43-48, GM3 at:
